My character:
A young woman who is soon to be going to the war in East Asia.My character is a thought criminal, although she doesn't always agree with Big Brother's presence she is too scared to rebel as she has seen first hand how people change after a trip to room 10.
Times for performance:
18:45 - 19:00 - Question the audience, patrolling hallway, 'Keeping the peace'
19:00 - 19:15 - Controlled Hate
19:15 - 19:30 - Back to patrolling and shared piece with Tahlia.
19:30 - 19:45 - Controlled Hate (2)
Original plan was changed and at 19:45 the Revolution started on performance night so from 19:45 was the outside rebellion piece.

Mid Term Evaluation
Today we heard other groups plans and the main running order of the play. This was helpful as it showed us how each room is going to link in with our own and gave us the beginning ideas for our own individual performances.
WWW: We got ideas off other groups that could help us improve our own and bring it further into the world of 2050.
EBI: If people in my group worked harder and fully took a progressive part within the work both in and out of school. Not just other members myself also.
I feel that, although many are good, people's ideas for sets haven't been thought about enough as I feel some rooms could have more potential for better things to go on inside of them, like the Group Hate using varies types of lighting not just full lights throughout entire performance. Also groups should think more 'outside the box' ideas. Personally though I need to try much harder within my group to make a difference to all aspects of the performance and planning. I need to stop pissing about during lesson times.

Our Room
Along with Shade, Delainey, Rasaq and Alfie, I am in charge of designing and creating our hero Stanley's room. We have many ides we want to put into the room, here are some:
Furniture:
Our idea consists of simple furnishings, a small bed mattress, a single wooden chair along with a basic table for writing. The possibility of having shelving or draws so we can put things like razors and washing items.
Props:
As Stanley is a rebel this has to be shown very carefully in his room. Not in an obvious fashion so our idea was to have a journal on his desk full of his writing saying how much he hates big brother and how much he wants things to change. We also wanted things like empty whiskey bottles and cigarettes as in he book it mentions both of this items as things Stanley (Winston in the book) would have a lot of. The bottles are possible but we later found out it would be impossible for us too have cigarettes on the set.
Multimedia:
Our multimedia ideas consist of using sound and projection. We will have created a sound effect for both the room and the radio in Stanley's room,giving it a more live in effect. Also we will create an exercise video which Stanley will follow in the performance. Most of these ideas we got from the viewing of 1984.

Viewing of film 1984
The viewing really helped with creating our sets as it showed us how it was suppose too look. This gave us ideas on how we could modify so that we could bring it out of 1984 and into 2050. Alongside seeing how the set would look it gave us an idea of how it felt to be in the world of 1984 and with his knowledge we could all bring it into our performance and re-create the way we saw how people felt within the world of the play. This also helped us by showing emotions from the characters about each room they would enter so we could bring that into designing our set rooms.
